Green Space Maintenance Schedule 2018
Thank you to everyone who volunteered to help keep our village beautiful! The original group of Gloria Blumer, Debbie Lonsberry & Orva Cameron have stepped back from the planning & organizing of our green spaces and we appreciate the hours and years they have put into these projects. The list of volunteers has expanded so that each volunteer is responsible for 1 week only. This is wonderful!! I have attached the schedule for 2018. If you can't work the week assigned to you, please try to switch with someone, and let me know if you can't make it work.

Community Notices and Announcements
The Dinsmore Composite School Awards night was held on Tuesday June 12th. Thank you to all who attended and congratulations to all those who won. It was an amazing feeling to celebrate all the successes of our students this past year.
The Dinsmore Composite School's Grade 7/8 class's bi-annual trip to the Cypress Hills Provincial park was an great success again this time around. The class headed out from Dinsmore Monday morning (June 25th) stopping at Swift Current for gas and some DQ. We arrived at Cypress Hills Provincial park and set up our tents in the beautiful Lock Loman area of the park. That evening we went on a horse back trail ride, went to Lookout Point and Bald butte where we hiked and got caught in a rainstorm. The class had supper while waiting for dark so that they could attend the observatory, unfortunately we were hit by another big rainstorm and were unable to look through the telescope due to cloud cover and lightning. FCM's Legal Defense Fund
Dear Ms. Mertz:
I wanted to take this opportunity to thank you for your generous contribution to FCM's Legal Defense Fund.
With the voluntary support of members like the Village of Dinsmore, FCM can continue to advance the national legal interests of Canada's local governments.
Your donation supports FCM's legal efforts on a wide variety of issues that impact communities of all sizes. FCM has intervened in a number of precedent-setting cases under federal jurisdiction that are of national importance to our sector — such as rights-of-way management. The Fund is also used by FCM to obtain proactive legal opinions on emerging policy files that have implications for local governments. Thank you once again for your contribution.
Sincerely, Clark Somerville FCM President
